Our client, LivingWorks is the suicide prevention-intervention training company. The company designs, develops and delivers award winning suicide prevention-intervention training programs. The company has been recognized as a leader in this field for over thirty years.
The LivingWorks suite of programs is one of the most widely used and recognized suicide prevention-intervention training programs in the world. In 2015, LivingWorks trained 162,925 people in 37 countries and territories with over 8000 community-based trainers around the world. Since 1983, more than 1.2 million caregivers have benefited from participating in the first aid ASIST program.
LivingWorks is currently recruiting a Vice President, Design, Development and Evaluation to join its leadership team.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Serving as a member of the LivingWorks leadership team, the Vice President, Design, Development and Evaluation will lead and coordinate all aspects of the companys ongoing program updates, new program development and evaluation direction.
Provide a leadership role and work with team members to oversee the design and development of new and ongoing programs Work with team members to provide pricing input for new and ongoing programs Work with team members to provide market delivery input for new and ongoing programs Work with team members and external evaluators to facilitate field trial measures of new programs and outcome evaluation measures of new and ongoing programs Make presentations to the leadership team and board to gain approval for new program initiatives Develop annual budget submissions and budgets associated with new program development initiatives which identify associated costs and benefits Enhance existing products and make appropriate changes to reflect the latest evidence and best practice knowledge about suicide prevention Work with operational leadership and staff to ensure that new product initiatives and product improvements are integrated into the business operations Maintain an awareness of ongoing research and best practices in the field of suicidology Maintain an awareness of all new product developments within the field of suicide prevention Willing to learn from and contribute to the work of others in a continuously collaborative work environment
A personal passion for suicide prevention Post graduate training in a related field Professional experience in Psychiatry, Psychology or Social work Clinical experience in helping people with suicide experiences Experience as a developer of educational programs related to psycho-social work Training in scientific methodology and experience in program evaluation issues in the psycho-social sciences, preferably in suicide prevention Recognized as an important contributor in the field of suicide prevention Knowledgeable of suicide prevention literature A demonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative culture
