Customer Business Development Manager - POSITION FILLED
Our food industry client is a leading manufacturer of consumer products. The company is currently recruiting a Customer Business Development Manager. The position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and strengthening customer relationships, managing and growing business, and providing category management knowledge and expertise to customers.
Position Responsibilities: Understand customers strategy and build strong relationships with customer to manage or exceed customer expectations and create customer and consumer value Develop and maximize performance objectives such as sales volume, contribution, trade spending, promotional plans, business development plans, market penetration and GP targets for specific categories Manage complete sales process from customer relationship management, price negotiations, sales planning etc. Negotiate and arrange pricing agreements with customer in support of team objectives and in coordination with marketing and management Demonstrate strong knowledge and expertise in products and category management Recognize total cost reduction opportunities, presenting the customer with solutions and quantifying results Make decisions on customer issues Regular and frequent contact with customers and internal staff in marketing, category management, finance, and supply chain Local travel required on a regular weekly basis and some overnight travel might be required

Required Experience and Education: 3-5 years account management sales experience University Degree Business education preferred 3-5 years of food industry sales experience
