Our food industry client is currently recruiting a Human Resources Advisor for its food processing operation in Manitoba.
The Human Resources Advisor will provide Human Resources and Labour Relations services and advisory services to the business.
• Provide guidance, support and coaching to Managers and frontline Supervisors regarding Human Resources policies, practices and collective bargaining agreement. • Assist as required with workplace investigations and labour relations issues. • Provide coaching to Managers on conducting performance reviews, performance improvement plans and provide timely performance feedback. • Manage the recruitment process for hourly and salary vacancies within assigned client groups. • Define and implement process improvements, tools and technology to enhance the HR processes. • Execute and facilitate training and coaching initiatives to assigned client groups of salaried and hourly employees. • Support and facilitate change initiatives that are required for continuous improvement efforts in the workplace. • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business, Commerce or a related discipline. • 3-5 years previous HR experience – preferably in a unionized and/or manufacturing environment. • CHRP designation strongly preferred. • Additional languages and/or experience working in a multi-cultural setting a strong asset. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Highly developed organizational and time management skills. • Solid working knowledge of Manitoba employment and labour legislation and practices. • Demonstrated computer expertise in MS Office programs. • Comfortable in fast-paced settings demanding a high level of efficiency.
